Vantage Middle East

Vantage Middle East · Privacy

Privacy.

Vantage Middle East is a reader’s atlas. The site is statically built and served from Vercel’s CDN; the operating principle is to collect as little personal information as possible.

What we collect

Hosting infrastructure (Vercel) records standard server-access logs including IP address, user agent, and the path requested. These logs are retained according to Vercel’s privacy policy and are not used by Vantage for analytics or profiling.

When the site adds privacy-respecting analytics (planned for Phase 3), we will use Plausible or a similar tool that does not set cookies and does not collect personal data; this notice will be updated when that is live.

What we do not collect

  • No cookies are set by Vantage Middle East.
  • No third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or session-replay tools are used.
  • Search queries entered into the site search are processed entirely in the browser via Pagefind and are not transmitted to any server.

Email contact

If you write to us at editorial@vantageatlas.news, we use your email only to reply and to track the conversation. Email is not added to any mailing list without separate, explicit opt-in.

API tier

The structured-data API at /api/v1/ is permissive and unauthenticated; requests are logged at the CDN level only. AI consumers and research bots are welcome to use it under the platform’s CC BY 4.0 content license.

Future updates

When Vantage adds paid subscriptions (Phase 3), the privacy policy will be expanded to cover billing and account information processed by the payment provider. Existing readers will not be affected unless they choose to subscribe.
